Murder Charges Laid in Wiarton

OPP have charged a 60 year old South Bruce Peninsula man with second degree murder.

A South Bruce Peninsula man is now facing charges after an alleged murder in Wiarton.

Officers were originally called on Wednesday to a Division street home to investigate the death of a 61 year old woman.

She has now been identified as Janice West of South Bruce Peninsula.

Officers say as a result of the investigation, 60 year old Ralph Henry Rudowski of South Bruce Peninsula, has been arrested and charged with second degree murder
On Sunday, the accused was remanded into custody and will have a video court appearance in Owen Sound court on Monday.

A second scene has been identified at another residence on Division Street in Wiarton where members of the OPP Bruce Peninsula Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services continue to investigate under the direction of Acting Detective Inspector Randy Gaynor of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
