A four-year-old girl was injured after being struck by a school bus in Meaford earlier today.
Grey County OPP say just before 9 a.m. at St. Vincent-Euphrasia Elementary School the girl lost her balance after coming off the bus.
As a result, police say the four-year-old wound up stepping in front of the bus as it pulled away.
A police spokesperson says her leg was run over by the bus.
OPP say the child was taken to hospital with a leg injury.
A letter provided by the Bluewater District School Board explains the student suffered an ankle injury after slipping and then being pinched by the front wheel of the bus.
It says the student's injuries were minor and a full recovery is expected.
Police say the incident remains under investigation.
