A rally will be held at Grey Gables Long Term Care home in Markdale to show public support for keeping it a public home.
The rally will begin at 2 Friday afternoon.
Grey County council is in the process of deciding what to do with its long term care homes amid pressure from the province to upgrade all care home to 'Class-A' before 2025.
The county is currently considering the staff report earlier suggesting the amalgamation of the beds from Grey Gables in Markdale and Rockwood Terrace into a new 166 bed facility in Durham.
It calls for the selling off of Grey Gables as an assisted living facility.
The county is expected to make a final decision after hearing final delegations at its regular meeting on May 25th.
