The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board says Our Lady of the Bay Catholic High School will be the new name of the high school in Collingwood.
It was formerly named after Jean Vanier, who was found to have assaulted at least six women over the course of several decades.
Students, staff and families had voted for this new name, but school board trustees had voted against it.
Trustees finally agreed to let the Director of Education decide and this is the result.
