West Grey Police have arrested two Owen Sound residents after they allegedly took a dangerous joyride in a delivery truck, then nearly crashed it into a house.
Police say just before 10 Wednesday morning (Dec 23) they were called about a delivery truck that had been stolen during a delivery on Garafraxa Street South in Durham.
Police say the stolen vehicle lost control, went off the road and crashed.
A photo shows it went over a street sign, up a steep slope and just barely missed plowing into a house before stopping on the lawn.
Police say, as the two suspects attempted to flee the scene, bystanders detained and held one of them until officers arrived.
Police searched the area, located and arrested the second suspect.
