Bruce Peninsula Health Services Foundation is getting ready to launch its 26th Annual Spring Auction in support of local hospitals.
Running the week of April 10th, the auction will be held on the foundation’s website.
In a release, the Bruce Peninsula Health Services Foundation says, “with the constant need for new medical equipment to diagnose and care for patients at local hospitals, the support of the community is needed.”
This year the funds raised will go towards the purchase of new x-ray machines for both Wiarton and Lion’s Head Hospitals.
Some of the items up for grabs include handmade ornaments from the grade 7/8 class at Ecole Hepworth Central Public School and a $5,000 shopping spree at the Wiarton Home Hardware.
The fundraising goal for this year’s auction is to reach $20,000.
The auction opens up at 7 a.m. on April 10th, and closes at 7 p.m. on April 17th.
