The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported 32 new Covid cases in the region on Friday.
According to Public Health, 10 people in Owen Sound, seven in Grey Highlands, three in Southgate, three in Blue Mountains, two in Meaford, one in Brockton, one in Georgian Bluffs, one in Hanover, one in Huron-Kinloss, one in Northern Bruce Peninsula, one in Saugeen Shores, and one in South Bruce tested positive.
There are now 169 active known cases in the region, as nine recoveries were reported Friday. One person is currently hospitalized locally, but the health unit says three Grey Bruce residents are receiving care outside of the region as well.
There are 661 active high-risk close contacts identified by Public Health.
On vaccination progress in Grey Bruce: 45,557 doses have been administered to date.
Over the course of the pandemic, five Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus.
The Health Unit says there are active outbreaks associated with Notre Dame Catholic School and Queen of Hearts Nursery School.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Friday is reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Thursday.
