Public Health Grey Bruce reported eight new cases of COVID-19 Monday.
Three residents of West Grey tested positive as well as two in Owen Sound, two in Kincardine, and one in South Bruce.
With 11 more resolved cases, the Health Unit says there are 40 active cases including 20 variants.
There are 129 active high-risk contacts associated with the region’s cases.
Three local people are hospitalized due to the virus and six cases have been transferred from other health units to local Intensive Care Units.
The Health Unit says, over the course of the pandemic, six Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus.
There are no declared outbreaks in hospitals, long-term care homes, retirement homes, schools or childcare centres in Grey Bruce.
4,680 doses of vaccine have been shipped to the region this week.
69,683 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Grey and Bruce to date.
