Two local federal election all-candidates debates will be held on Bayshore Broadcasting’s AM station 560 CFOS next week.
On Tuesday September 7th, a number of Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound candidates will answer questions and promote their platforms in a two-hour program after the 9 a.m. news until 11 a.m.
On Wednesday, September 8th, Huron-Bruce Candidates will do the same.
In Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound there are six confirmed candidates. They are:
-Anna-Marie Fosbrooke (People’s Party of Canada)
-Reima Kaikkonen (Independent)
-Ashley Michelle Lawrence (Green Party of Canada)
-Christopher Neudorf (New Democratic Party) *Unable to attend this particular debate.
-Alex Ruff (Conservative Party of Canada)
-Anne Marie Watson (Liberal Party of Canada)
Huron-Bruce voters will have five names on the ballot:
-Jan Johnstone (New Democratic Party)
-Ben Lobb (Conservative Party of Canada)
-James Rice (Liberal Party of Canada)
-Justin L Smith (Independent)
-Jack Stecho (People’s Party of Canada)
Election Day is Sept. 20, 2021. Advance polls will be held over four days from Sept. 10 to 13 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
You can also vote using the special ballot process at any Elections Canada office before Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m.
Voting by mail is another option. Elections Canada advises you must apply to vote by mail prior to Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. Once you have applied to vote by mail, it says you can’t change your mind and vote at advance polls or on election.
