A plaque unveiling event is occurring in Port Elgin today to pay tribute to the women in served in WWI and WWII.
In a notice from Saugeen Shores, the event will be held at the Saugeen Shores Municipal Office in Port Elgin at 2 p.m.
Residents are invited to join the Saugeen Shores Municipal Heritage Committee for the plaque unveiling, as war time stories of these women who served Canada will be told.
Residents are asked to respect Covid protocols when attending.
