South Bruce OPP received assistance from tactical officers in its response to a report of a break-in on Concession 12 in Kincardine.
OPP say they received word of a break-in around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday morning and when officers arrived at the scene, they were told the suspects were still inside the home.
Members from the West Region OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team and OPP Canine Unit assisted with the South Bruce OPP with the incident.
However, police say no one was found on the property in a check of the house and outbuildings.
Concession 12 was closed between side road 30 and Glen Cummings road for public safety during the police investigation and has since re-opened.
Police say this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.
