A $1,000 community donation has been made to Bruce County Paramedic Services.
The donation came from Marvin Freiburger and Sons Inc. and was presented by Angela Freiburger to Deputy Chief Ray Lux on Dec. 2.
The donation will assist paramedic services purchase CPR manikins, capable of mimicking real-life situations, and will help with emergency training.
Paramedic Services Chief Steve Schaus says, “Bruce County Paramedic Services is very honoured that Marvin and Angela think of us every year, support our service, and give back to the community.”
Schaus says buying a new manikin was something they were looking at purchasing but didn’t have it their budget to procure on their own.
Schaus says, “It is always welcome to get donations from people within the area, we can use this money towards helping our community out with CPR manikins.”
Marvin Freiburger and Sons Inc. is a truck and repair shop near Walkerton.
