Saugeen Shores is bringing on a new Director of Corporate Services at the end of the month.
The town says Jim Bundschuh is coming to the role after spending 13 years as the Director of Financial Services, Purchasing, IT and Provincial Offences Courts at the County of Elgin.
Before working at the municipal level, he worked in the automotive industry improving systems and employee safety.
Mayor Luke Charbonneau says they are looking forward to having Bundschuh play a key leadership role for at the town.
“He was proven experience in the areas that were identified in our Municipal Service Delivery Review, such as modernizing municipal financial and budgeting processes, and collaborating with departments to identify and deliver on key performance measures,” says Charbonneau.
Bundschuh says he prides himself in fostering open and positive relationships with everyone he works with.
“I am confident by combined private and public sector experience will give me a fresh perspective that will help the town prepare for growth, be more accountable to the community, and improve the quality of services we deliver,” says Bundschuh.
As the Director of Corporate Services, he will lead all activities associated with finance, information technology, and the clerk’s office.
Bundschuh will be starting his new role on Feb. 28.
