Provincial Police have released details about the heavy police presence along Grey Road 1 Friday evening.
Grey Bruce OPP say multiple charges have been laid following a stabbing incident in Georgian Bluffs, including against three minors.
Police say on June 24 at 7:04 p.m., the OPP, Owen Sound Police Service, and Grey County Paramedic Services responded to a report of a stabbing on Grey Road 1.
OPP say officers arrived on the scene and an individual was transported to a hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. The accused individuals fled the scene prior to police arrival but were later taken into custody.
Police say a 19-year-old from South Bruce Peninsula has been charged with aggravated assault, assaulting a peace officer with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, mischief over $5,000, failing to stop after an accident, dangerous operation, two counts of flight from a peace officer, theft over $5,000 of a motor vehicle, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
The accused was held pending a bail hearing.
Police say they also charged a 15-year-old male from South Bruce Peninsula, a 15-year-old female from Owen Sound, and a 14-year-old female from Owen Sound, all with theft of a motor vehicle, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
OPP say the accused youth cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, but all three have been released with a future court date in Owen Sound.
