The Town of Saugeen Shores is helping businesses and residents educate themselves on water safety and safe boating practices as part of a summer water safety initiative.
The town says they have created rack card brochures with tips for swimming, safe boating, waterfront safety, and lifesaving stations.
The rack cards are free to any business, including cottage parks, campgrounds, short-term rentals, hotels and motels, and equipment rental providers.
The town says the initiative comes in anticipation of its regular surge of visitors from the Canada Day long weekend.
The town will be connecting with local businesses, as they are encouraged to contact the municipality to request the cards.
The town will also be rolling out more information and awareness initiatives during National Drowning Prevention week from July 17 to the 23.
