The Music at the Market concert series is back this summer in Owen Sound.
Starting July 7th, it will be held at the Farmers’ Market in Owen Sound’s River District on Thursdays and Fridays from noon to 2 p.m.
The City says in a statement, “This free lunchtime concert series features some of the best musical talent from Owen Sound and the surrounding region, reinforcing Owen Sound’s rightful place as a major hub for Ontario’s music and arts scene.”
Organizers suggest bringing a lawn chair and also picking up lunch from one of the restaurants or cafes in the River District. They say lunch specials are posted at the Music at the Market web page each Monday.
The 2021 Music at the Market series was a recipient of a Festivals and Events Ontario Achievement Award for re-imaging, re-focusing and re-connecting the series amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
