A Cross-Canada cyclist, Adam Hoerdt is due to arrive in Owen Sound on Saturday.
Hoerdt is doing the cycle trek to raise funds and awareness for Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC).
ARVC is a disease of the heart muscle where fatty fibrous tissue replaces normal heart muscle which interrupts normal electrical signals in the heart and may cause irregular and potentially life-threatening heart rhythms.
Fred Wallace spoke with Adam Hoerdt who was in Northern Ontario during a break in his cross country cycle.
