The 100 Women Who Care Grey Bruce made their final donation of 2022 to the Bluewater Education Foundation, which supports the Bluewater Outdoor Education Centre.
The total donation was $19,700.
Group Chair Lynda Legge says, “We were so excited to present them with our largest donation yet.”
The 100 Women Who Care Grey Bruce is a group which gets together four times a year. Each member donates $100 per meeting which works out to $400 over the year.
Legge says the funds from this most recent donation will go to the Bluewater Outdoor Education Centre’s ’50th to the Future’ campaign to increase the centre’s ability to create meaningful outdoor experiences for all kids and adults who attend.
Legge says, “We will look forward to hearing from Mike Schwindt (Development Manager, Bluewater Outdoor Education Foundation) at our first meeting of 2023, April 1st. He will talk with us about the work they do and how our donation made an impact at the Outdoor Education Centre.”
In 2022, the 100 Women Who Care Grey Bruce donated a total of $68,600 to four local charities in the Grey Bruce community and increased their membership over the year by 40 new members, and they’re still looking for more members.
In 2023, the group will meet in April, May, September and November.
