Municipal Council for Kincardine has given its support for the construction of a new cell tower in the town.
Staff recommended that council give their support at this week’s council meeting, to allow Shared Tower Inc. to install a 70m tall telecommunications tower at 1111 Concession Road 10.
The project is subject to approval under Innovation, Science, and Economic Development (ISED) Canada.
The plan is for a self-supported lattice tower, which would help improve cell phone signal in the area and better support increased demands for consumer connectivity.
