Saugeen Shores Police are advising residents to be aware of a large black bear roaming around.
In a post on Facebook published at about 6:30 this morning, (Ap 21) police say it has been spotted in the 500 block area of Creekwood Drive in the south end of Southampton.
Police say, “Please be aware of your surroundings and keep kids and family pets inside.”
They add, “If you have bird feeders we suggest removing them as they are the main attractant for bears on residential property.”
