Saugeen Shores Police say that they’ve charged two people with chasing and killing Canada geese.
In an Instagram post, the police service says that a 21-year-old and a 35-year-old are facing charges under the Fish and Wildlife Act.
The pair were charged after a report was received about people chasing and killing the birds along the Saugeen River.
Charges stem from section 31, section 5 of the Ontario Fish and Wildlife Act, which states that “A person who harasses, captures, or kills wildlife under this section shall not cause it unnecessary suffering.”
No further details were released.
