Intertownship Fire Chief Jeff Gautreau says a home in Nicols Gully has been deemed a heavy loss following a fire early this morning.
He says shortly after 5 a.m. on Tuesday, they received word of a house fully engulfed by fire along Atkins Street.
No one was injured and he says the cause of the fire is still under investigation and they have not determined the damage estimate at this time.
“Intertownship, along with City of Owen Sound and Chatsworth all responded, Chatsworth for tanker support and Owen Sound for tanker support as well,” says Gautreau.
He says about 35 firefighters responded to the now heavily damaged home.
