Saugeen Shores is looking for community input on its parks master plan.
The Town is looking at the futures of three parks in Southampton & Port Elgin.
They are Jubilee Park and Helliwell Park in Southampton and North Shore Park in Port Elgin.
The Town says the multi-year plan will consider park investment, proposed facilities and services.
The Town says some of the questions that should be considered during this engagement are:
What are the future trends, desires and needs for these parks?
What existing elements/facilities of these parks does the community value?
What proposed elements/facilities would the community like to see in these parks?
What are the priority items for improvement/redevelopment?
How does the community feel about the current and future development of park infrastructure?
Engaging with community members is a crucial aspect of effective master planning. This engagement ensures that the depicted plans accurately mirror the preferences and principles of the community.
There will be two public information centres: One on Thursday, November 30th, at Southampton Town Hall (old town hall on High St) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and another meeting in Port Elgin on the same day at the Rotary Hall at 600 Tomlinson Drive from 5p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Town says online graphics and a survey will be posted following the public meetings.
