Bruce Power has created the first carbon offset protocol for nuclear generation.
The announcement about the protocol was released on December 6th, as a part of the Canadian delegation at the COP28 conference in Dubai.
The company says that it understands the importance of clean energy demands, given its most recent endeavors, including the commitment to reaching net zero by 2027, as well as working with financial institutions for its Green Bond program, and participating in the province’s Clean Energy Credit program.
Bruce Power has been collaborating with GHD, which is a global professional service company that specializes in energy and natural resources to develop the protocol.
