The town’s famous albino groundhog Wiarton Willie is set to tell us whether it will be an early spring or a long winter.
Bayshore Broadcasting’s Fred Wallace will be reporting live at the big event. It starts at 7 a.m. Friday, with fireworks.
The official prediction is set for 8:07 a.m.
There will be free skating afterwards at the Wiarton Arena.
Bayshore Broadcasting’s Country 93’s Shawn & Julia Morning Show will be the emcees this year.
On Saturday the 3rd, the Wiarton Willie Festival of Events is set to be held at Bluewater Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will be gaming trailers, a trackless train, human foosball, and other activities.
