Owen Sound Police charged a Toronto man with drug trafficking and assault after an incident Sunday evening.
City police they were called to an east-side residence around 7:15 p.m. yesterday, after two people were allegedly assaulted.
“After punching a female in the face, the accused left the area upon learning that police had been called,” Owen Sound Police say in a release.
Police say the accused was located nearby and arrested.
Owen Sound Police claim a search of the man turned up about $6,000 worth of fentanyl.
“Through further investigation, police determined that the man had been supplying fentanyl to drug users in Owen Sound,” Owen Sound Police allege.
The 25-year-old Scarborough man remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing on drug trafficking and assault charges.
