Rotary YMCA Camp Presqu’ile is working to create a new kitchen for campers and on Friday, April 19th 560 CFOS will hold a radiothon fundraiser for the camp.
Donations raised will go towards the kitchen renovation at the camp.
CFOS will be live on the air for 12 hours, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Rotary Club of Owen Sound will be on hand answering the phones and taking your donations.
We will have a special phone number set up just for that day to call and donate: 1-877-575-8838. That number will only be operational from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 19th.
The day will include interviews with former and current campers, plus parents and former and current camp councillors, as well as Rotary club members.
CFOS personalities Paul Hill, Steve Richie and Rick Ringer will man the mic for 12 straight hours to raise awareness of the needs of the camp to be able to offer more spaces for more children.
Scotia Hutton, Summer Camp Director Rotary YMCA Camp Presqu’ile will be on hand as well to oversee this event.
Located Northwest of Owen Sound, Camp Presqu’ile covers 14 acres of beautiful Georgian Bay shoreline. Owen Sound Rotary, in partnership with YMCA Owen Sound Grey Bruce has provided overnight summer camp to youth aged 6-16 for close to 100 years.
