The Bruce County Starter Company Plus program is providing training and a financial boost to seven local entrepreneurs.
The county says the program, funded through the provincial government, provided a combined $35,000 to the entrepreneurs and eight weeks of training to help them launch a new business or expand.
The people who took part in the program include:
-Laura Hackett of Revive and Heel in Lucknow
-Tori Hamilton of Attuned Therapy + Wellness in Kincardine
-Will Haney of Northern Sustainable Farms in Tiverton
-Robert Blank of Artefact Landscapes in Southampton
-Nick Veenstra of Saugeen Valley Media in Paisley
-Cassidy Radic of The WOMB in Walkerton
-Tyler Knechtel of Junction 4 & 19 in Walkerton
County Manager of Economic Development Jeffrey Loney says the program presents a remarkable opportunity for both new and established business owners in enhancing economic growth.
“This program nurtures collaboration among budding entrepreneurs and provides invaluable access to funding, local business experts, resources and services,” says Loney.
The program launched in 2017, and since then, it has provided grant funding to 62 entrepreneurs.
