The Owen Sound Attack have named a new second assistant coach.
Reagan O’Grady will be part of the coaching team this upcoming 2024-25 hockey season.
A release from the Attack says O’Grady is from Lindsay, Ontario.
He began his hockey career in 2013-14 with the Toronto Marlboros U16 AAA team as a defenceman.
He then signed with the OHL’s Kingston Frontenacs (2014-15), and was traded to the Sudbury Wolves the same season.
He was to the then Mississauga Steelheads in the 2017-18 season and then to the Saginaw Spirit in the 2018-19 season.
He has worked as an assistant coach for the Lindsay Muskies for a number of years from 2019 to 2024 and also as their Director of Player Development in the 2023-24 season.
He says in a statement, “I’m super thankful for this opportunity to share what I’ve learned in the league as a player ad pass on my experiences to our team this year. I can’t wait to get down to Owen Sound and meet the staff, players and the great fans at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Arena.”
Attack General Manager, Dale DeGray says in a statement, it will be O’Grady’s first opportunity at being a full-time coach in the OHL and he will be part of the defence coaching group.
