Grey Bruce OPP say an Owen Sound man is facing a slew of charges following a collision over the weekend east of Chesley.
Police say on Sept. 29 at 4:39 p.m., officers responded to a threatening call made to a victim on Sept. 14 in Park Head in South Bruce Peninsula. Following the call, a be on the lookout (BOLO) was issued to the surrounding police agencies.
Then on Sept. 29 at 7:31 p.m., Grey Bruce OPP was conducting traffic enforcement on the Grey Bruce Line when an officer saw a vehicle travelling 129 kilometres and hour in an 80 zone.
Shortly afterwards, a motorcycle was found laying on its side on the shoulder of the highway and the driver was transported to hospital as a precaution.
As a result, the 31-year-old accused from Owen Sound was charged with:
-Uttering threats
-Speeding one to 49 kilometres an hour over the posted limit
-Driving a vehicle with no plates
-Careless driving
-Two counts of driving while under suspension
-Driving while prohibited
-Driving a vehicle with no licence
-Operating a vehicle with no licence
-Failing to surrender a permit for the vehicle
-Failing to apply for a permit to become the owner
-Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
The accused was held pending a bail hearing and Grey Bruce Line has since reopened.
