Grey Bruce OPP say they have charged a Meaford resident after a collision with a school bus.
OPP say, on November 18th at 8:16 a.m., they were patrolling Highway 26 near Clearview Crescent when they came upon a collision involving a school bus and a vehicle. The bus was stopped for another bus that had their lights and stop arm out when a vehicle crashed into the rear of it.
Police say there were no injuries resulting from the incident.
As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old from Meaford was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with careless driving.
The Grey Bruce OPP want to remind drivers of the following:
Watch for flashing amber lights indicating the bus will stop to pick up or drop off students.
Slow down and prepare to stop when the bus activates its alternately flashing red lights.
Do not move forward until the red lights have stopped flashing or the bus begins to move.
