Bluewater District School Bard is looking for applications for its open trustee position.
They’re looking for someone to represent the Township of Southgate and Municipality of Grey Highlands.
The school board is looking for one person to serve out the remainder of the 2022-2026 term with the elected trustees and one appointed First Nations trustee.
Applications are being accepted until Friday, April 4th with an interview process to follow for shortlisted candidates.
The BWDSB announced that they’d be looking for a new trustee after the person elected to representing Southgate/Grey Highlands had missed three consecutive meetings, which led to their seat being declared vacant.
The original approach by the school board was to offer the position to the runner-up from the 2022 election, but if that person did not accept, then the board would move to seek applications.
