Several roads in Grey County have been closed as a result of the weather.
Highway 26 has been closed in both directions between County Road 11 and County Road 112, as well as Highway 10 in both directions between Southgate Road 24 and County Road 9
The Township of Georgian Bluffs adds crews are out clearing roads following the accumulation of freezing rain on trees resulting in debris on many roadways.
“In some areas, hydro poles have been damaged and hydro lines are down, creating hazardous traveling conditions. Debris continues to fall, increasing the risk for drivers,” says the township in a release.
The township recommends avoiding traveling until conditions improve as there is a high risk of falling ice and debris.
