The City of Owen Sound and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) 1189 have ratified a new agreement for outside workers.
The union represents many of the City’s outside workers in public works, parks and cemetery operations, as well as water and wastewater services.
The agreement includes a 6 per cent wage increase in 2024, followed by 3 per cent increases in both 2025 and 2026, along with limited monetary enhancements outside of wages.
