The Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band Executive is cancelling their 2021 parade season due to the ongoing Covid pandemic.
The decision made in coordination with the Municipality of Kincardine, the KSPB Executive says as the Province prepares to open up in phases, out of interest of public health and safety, it is apparent that the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band is unable to continue this summer with traditional Saturday Night Parades.
A release notes the KSPB will continue to monitor the provincial phases and when permitted, look at other opportunities with the band and their members this summer.
In the meantime however, the KSPB confirms they have been working with the Municipality and Kincardine Marina/Yacht Club to move forward with the Phantom Piper to play atop the lighthouse starting July 1.
More dates and information, when they become available, can be found on the municipality’s website.
