Ronald Howard Mower

Ron Mower of Meaford passed away peacefully at Summit Place Nursing Home in Owen Sound on Monday, July 5, 2021 at the age of 74.
Born in Meaford on February 6, 1947, Ron was a son of Blanche Mower (nee Seabrook) of Owen Sound and the late Howard Mower.
He will be missed dearly by his brother Gordon Mower (Mary Anne) and his sister Cherlene Holmes (Russell).
Ron married the love of his life, Marion (nee Scammell) of Meaford, on July 16, 1966.
He was the proud father of Steven Mower and the late Cathy Mower.
Ron was the much loved and fun loving grandfather ‘Pa’ of Jessica McCoag (Drew), Ryan Culbert, Luke Storrey, Sarah Storrey, Damon Mower, Kyle Petzke, Austin Petzke (Kelsey) and Cole Petzke. He adored his great grandkids: Natalie, Warren, Emmett, Weston, Catherine and Paisley.
Ron worked at Amerock for more than 25 years and then for the Canadian Base Operators until his retirement in 2013. He was a dedicated biker for many years and enjoyed many bike holidays. He participated in the Ride for Sight for many years and has the badges to prove it! In later years Ron acquired a vintage ILTIS and enjoyed making the rounds at local car shows. He spent many hours in his woodworking shop and the kids, both big and small, enjoyed Pa’s gifts; trucks, bulldozers, loaders and other treasures.
A private family visitation and service will be conducted at Ferguson Funeral Home with interment following at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford.
