Fairy Buchanan

Buchanan (nee Skene), Fairy – peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services Wiarton surrounded by her family, after a short battle with cancer, on Monday, August 16, 2021 at the age of 83 years.
Devoted wife and best friend to the late John Gordon Buchanan (2013).
Loving mother of Charlene (Dale Cornfield), of Oliphant; Shaun Winch (Sandra), of Leith; Shane Winch, of Owen Sound. Cherished grandmother of 8; and great-grandmother of 7 (with one on the way). Sadly missed by her sister Helen Porter; sisters-in-law, Ruth Anne (Tim Fries) & Joyce Skene; brothers-in-law Phil Steffler & Lorne Dennis; and by her many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Lydia; and siblings Earl, Bill, Ewart, Morgan, Beatrice, Pearl, Gladys, Marjorie, Bud, May & June; brother and sister-in-law David and Joyce Buchanan; and sister-in-law Linda Steffler.
A private family graveside service to celebrate Fairy’s life will be conducted from Balsam Grove Cemetery, Oliphant. Family and friends are invited to join in a gathering to celebrate Fairy’s life at 255 Bryant St., Oliphant on Wednesday August 25, 2021 at 1pm.
