Kelly William Gowing

Kelly passed away unexpectedly with his loving family by his side at the University Hospital in London on Monday, August 30, 2021.
Born on July 12, 1960 in Kitchener, Kelly William Gowing of Owen Sound, was in his 62nd year.
Dearly loved husband of Loreen Gowing (nee Elliott). Loving father of Tanya Greatrex (Drew) and Russell Forsyth. Proud grandfather of Wesley, Riley, Abby, Selene and Zack. Beloved son of Ralph Gowing and the late June Gowing. Dear brother of Dan Gowing (Marion), Susan Gowing and Jane Aitken (Mark). Kelly will also be missed by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a community of friends.
A private memorial service for Kelly will be held in the chapel of the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Friday, September 10, 2021 with Father Wojciech Kuzma officiating and although it is private, friends are welcome to view the service via livestream on the funeral home website (woodfuneralhome.ca) at 1 p.m. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
A Celebration of Life for Kelly will be held at Boston Pizza, 1606 16th Street East, Owen Sound, on Saturday, September 11th, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Ronald McDonald House, Hospital for Sick Children, Juravinski Cancer Centre or the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
