Passed away peacefully, at Grey Gables, Markdale, Friday, September 24, 2021. James Carman Johnston of Markdale in his 92nd year.
Beloved husband of the late Jean Johnston (Whalen). Stepfather of Paul Whalen (Jean) of Owen Sound.
Step-grandfather of Bradley, Jeffrey, David, Lisa, Jennifer, and Kevin. Cherished step-great-grandfather, and step-great-great-grandfather. Brother of Harold Johnston and brother-in-law of Margaret Johnston both of Markdale. Uncle of Pauline Johnston (Tim Wilton) and David Johnston (Jennifer Macdonald), all of Markdale. Sadly missed by great-nieces, a great-nephew, extended family and friends. Predeceased by parents Bill and Margaret (Acheson) Johnston, Brother George Johnston, stepson Doug Whalen, sister-in-law Jane Johnston, and step-grandson Ken Whalen.
A graveside service will be held at Markdale Cemetery on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 11:00 AM. All are welcome. Please RSVP to May Funeral Home at 519-986-3310 to register your attendance.
