It is with deep sadness and very heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of a loving father, brother and grandfather.
Larry passed away peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound in his 58th year on Sunday, October 3, 2021 after losing a two-week battle with Covid-19.
He will be lovingly missed by his daughter Chantelle Menard (Jeffrey), was the proud Grandpa of his only granddaughter Emery Menard, and will be sadly missed by his sons Justin and Jacob Menard. Larry was the much loved brother of Bruce Menard (Janice), Peter Menard, Sally Menard, Rita Menard (Oliver), Cathy Menard, Joanne Menard-Price (Carl), and will be remembered fondly and missed by his many nieces, nephews and their families.
The road was definitely Larry’s second home, he was a truck driver for many years and his journeys always brought him back to his children and granddaughter. He was also a ‘jack-of-all-trades’, anything old that needed repaired he could fix on his own. He loved to help his children, and this was immensely rewarding to him. Larry was a hard worker and always kept busy but would make time to stop and help anyone in need, he had a heart of gold and it showed in his personality. Larry’s positive attitude and influence will live on in his children and granddaughter.
A private visitation will be take place at the Ferguson Funeral Home, with a private family service of committal and interment following at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford. We ask that those attending please respect all Covid-19 rules and regulations and note that masks will be required to attend.
As your expression of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford, ON N4L 1B9 to whom arrangements have been entrusted.
