Jacqui Lorenz

On Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the young age of 52, Jacqui passed away peacefully at Chapman House Hospice in Owen Sound after a long and brave battle with cancer. She was at peace, and surrounded by love; her family knows she is now resting in the arms of her Lord and Saviour: Jesus Christ.
She leaves behind her best friend, and the love of her life, James Lorenz after 30 years of marriage. Beloved mom of Brittany Lorenz. Forever loved and adored by her parents Russ and Eva Middleton of Sauble Beach, brother Dan Middleton (Dawna) of Oliphant, father-in-law Martin Lorenz of Owen Sound, and brother-in-law Jeff Lorenz (Kim) of Owen Sound. Loved and missed by her many nieces and nephews, Justin, Joshua (Alex), Samantha, Zachary (Alexia), Daniel and Anna (Daniel). She will also be greatly missed by her dog Duke, who never left her side.
Predeceased by her grandparents Warren and Blanche Middleton, Walter and Maria Huber, her mother-in-law Janet Lorenz, and by her uncles Dennis Middleton and Byron “Buzz” Middleton.
Jacqui touched the lives of so many through her faith, her love of giving, and the joy she found in serving others. Her bravery, strength, and grace through this battle reflected the strong foundation of her relationship with Christ.
For those who loved her and whose lives she touched, a visitation will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Sunday, October 17th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Guests must wear a mask and follow social distancing protocols. A family only funeral service to celebrate Jacqui’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 19th at 11:00 a.m. Although the service is private, it will be livestreamed via the funeral home website. Interment will follow at Zion Cemetery, Hepworth.
