ROOTE, Mary-Ellen “Miriam”, of Wiarton, Ontario passed away peacefully at Gateway Haven, Wiarton on Thursday October 28th, 2021 in her 84th year.
Beloved wife of Leland Dennis Roote (predeceased 2018). She is survived by children Michael Gersonde, Margaret (Jonathan Anava), and John Gersonde (Sandra).
Grandmother of Adam, Oren, Orit, Ayal, Tara, Karina, Luca and 9 great-grandchildren. Sister of Lynanne “Nan” (Ken Cosner), and James Boegel (predeceased 2017) (Carol).
Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, Cathy Lee and family. Predeceased by her parents, John and Valeria Boegel of Wiarton, Ontario. We extend our gratitude to Dr. Van
Dorp and the nursing staff at Gateway Haven for the stellar care given to Mary Ellen over the years. Family invite friends to gather for a graveside visitation and service on
Monday November 1, 2021 at Colpoy’s Bay Cemetery at 3 o’clock.
