Sections of the Kelso Beach Trail in Owen Sound will be closed over the next couple of weeks as crews complete restoration work.
Owen Sound city officials advise the trail closure covers from south of the splash pad to the north end of the soccer field.
The trail preparation and paving work is expected to take place over the next two weeks.
It will improve accessibility for all users, a release from the city says.
Owen Sound is also planning to perform work to the city’s east side trail system this fall, if the weather allows.
The capital cost of the trail restoration and shoreline protection on the east and west sides is just over $390,000, funded through a grant the city received from the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.
