It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our brother, John Thomas Carter, on Monday, February 21, 2022 at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound. John passed peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 68 years. Dearly loved son of the late Cyril and Gladys Carter. Loving brother of Mike Carter (Trudy) and Steve Carter (Marie) both of Owen Sound. John will be missed by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings, Bob Carter and Sheila Montgomery.
In John’s early years, he was a sports super star and after a terrible car accident, his life took a turn for the worse. After having both kidneys removed and going on Dialysis for years, he made a smart decision and moved to Country Lane Long Term Care in Chatsworth. He got the best care there that anyone could ask for. He will be missed.
A Private Family Memorial Service will take place in the spring. Arrangements entrusted to the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario. N4K 3X8 (519) 376-7492.
