Darlene Jean Barfoot

Jean passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at the Chapman House Hospice in Owen Sound, on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Born on June 20, 1960, Darlene Jean Barfoot (née Paterson) of Owen Sound, was in her 62nd year.
Loving mother of Chad Barfoot (Kaitlin), of Owen Sound and the late Cara Barfoot (2006). Proud grandmother of Sydney, Mackenzie, Kelcie and Oakley. Dear sister of Bonnie Slemmon (Ron), of Kitchener and Tom Paterson (Lyn), of Saskatchewan. Jean will be missed by her nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her parents, James Paterson and Laurine Paterson-Tottenham, her sister, Donna Hooper-Maccauley (David Hooper and Frank Maccauley), her stepfather, William Tottenham and her children’s father, David Barfoot.
Visitation will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Saturday, March 5th, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. All attendees must wear a mask and follow social distancing protocols. A private service to celebrate Jean’s life will be held on Sunday, March 6th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with David Fries officiating.
Interment in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
