Of Owen Sound, and previously of Hepworth, peacefully at Summit Place, Owen Sound, on Sunday March 13, 2022. Doreen Ruth Howe (nee Hood) at the age of 83 years.
Loved wife of James “Jim” Howe for 64 years. Dear mother of David Howe (deceased)(Debbie) of Deep River, Laurie (Doug Cody), of Ottawa, Kathy Hauer, of Sauble Beach, Wendy (Mike Crevier), of Dundas, and Mike Howe (deceased) of Calgary AB. Cherished grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 10. Sister of Larry Hood (June), of Copetown; and sister-in-law of Archie Howe (Leona), of Dundas, Stanley Howe (Carol) (Dorothy, deceased) of Burlington, David “Morgan” Howe (Barb, deceased) of Brampton, Eileen (Wilfred Ashcroft) of Wiarton, Ronald Howe (deceased)(Bernadette) of Vernon BC. Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Viola Hood; one grandson, Philip and one great-grandson Liam.
Doreen was a member of the Sauble Beach & District Lions Club and a member of Sauble Christian Fellowship for many years.
Family invite friends to gather for visitation at Sauble Christian Fellowship, 27 Southampton Parkway, Sauble Beach on Saturday March 19, 2022 from 1 – 2 pm, where a service to celebrate Doreen’s life will be conducted at 2 o’clock, officiated by Pastor David Oppertshauser.
