March 25, 1928 – March 16, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of their dear
Mother, Marjorie Lilian Bullock (Grimsley) at the age of 93.
Born on a small farm on Bathurst Street, Toronto, she was the daughter of Harry and
Lilian Grimsley (Fowler). She was the beloved wife of Harvey Bullock (2010) for almost
60 years. Together they raised five children, David (Sharon) of Feversham, Ann (Chris
Dunn) of Feversham, Alan (Kim) of South River, Lori (Gary Carscadden) of Thornbury and
Helen (Mike Kerr) of Mount Forest, along with eleven grandchildren and twenty four
great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by one brother Bob Grimsley (Karen), brother-in-laws Roy, Gordon
and Donnie Bullock, sister-in-laws Dorothy McEachern, Kathleen Ward, Inoma Bullock,
Mary Bullock and survived by one sister-in-law Norma Bullock. She will be fondly
remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Mom loved her life on the dairy farm where her and Dad worked hard together each and
every day. She took pride in her community, church and their neighbours and friends.
She spent many years helping with the 4-H garden and cooking clubs, enjoyed going to
community dances, playing cards with friends who would drop in on a Saturday night for
a game and some laughs. In the winter her and Dad found time to go on sleigh rides
together and joined the bowling league in Feversham. Mom enjoyed going out to the
Village to grocery shop, to visit and catch up on the local news. A favourite time was
always the Feversham Fall Fair where she would enter some of her baking and
preserves. A highlight for her was when she got to go to the Sky Dome and watched the
Toronto Blue Jays play.
Her family extends sincere gratitude to the Bay Haven Retirement and Long Term Care
staff for all of their care and kindness shown to Mom over the past few years.
A Funeral Service for Marjorie will be held at the Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood on Wednesday March 23, 2022 at 2p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. All are welcome to attend. A private family interment will be held in the spring at Rob Roy United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Rob Roy United Church or the Feversham Agricultural Society would be appreciated by her family.
