Anna Marguerite “Peggy” (Speer) Ruff formerly of Tara, passed away with her daughter at her side, on Saturday, September 10, 2022, just weeks after celebrating her 100th birthday with family.
Loving mother of Tom (Mabel) Ruff, Bob (Marlene) Ruff, Nancy DeVries, all of Tara, June Meyer of Edmonton, and mother-in-law of Mark Atton of Elmwood. Peggy will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her fourteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband John “Jack” Ruff, daughter Annette Atton, and ten siblings.
Visitation will be held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 6 – 9 p.m. and again on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 10 – 10:45 a.m. A funeral service honouring Peggy’s life will follow and begin at 11 a.m. Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 383 Tara would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
