An Inter-Township Fire Department truck was involved in a collision in Springmount over the weekend.
Grey Bruce OPP Const. Nick Wilson says they received a call about an incident involving a fire truck and a passenger vehicle at the intersection of Highways 6 and 21 just after 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
“The firetruck was responding lights and sirens to a call for service. There was a collision between one of their firetrucks and passenger vehicle,” Wilson confirms in an email.
Wilson was unable to share many additional details as the incident remains under investigation, but he says the injuries sustained were only minor in nature.
Bayshore Broadcasting News reached out to Inter-Township Fire Chief Jeff Gautreau, but he was not able to comment at this time.
