Olive Leola Wardell

Olive passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Kelso Villa in Owen Sound, on Friday, February 17, 2023. Born on May 28, 1926 in Arran Township, Olive Leola Wardell (née Virtue) of Owen Sound, was in her 97th year.
Dearly loved wife for 67 years of the late Douglas Wardell (2017). Loving mother of Bev Wardell (Nancy) and mother-in-law of Anne Wardell (late Dean, 2008), both of Owen Sound. Proud grandmother of Astelle, Brock, Derrick (Jocelyn) and Shannon. Olive will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Wesley and Ella Virtue, her siblings, David and Glen Virtue and Myrtle Norquay, her parents-in-law, William and Jean Wardell, her sister-in-law, Verona McKinnon (Irvin).
A Graveside Service for Olive Wardell will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Kara McCluskie officiating. All family and friends are invited to attend a luncheon at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th Street West, Owen Sound, (519) 376-7492 following the interment.
